The entire collection is related to energy. The research started in Taiji, which achieves a perfect balance between two poles. The silhouette is extracted from the motion of Taiji. the Clothes are shaped in “curves” and layers, for Taiji is a martial art featured in tenderness. I did some of these motions by myself and took them down with camera, collaging the pictures to “re” design. Draping starts from paper, because paper could be applied better while forming structure.The fabric experiment is originated from the energy model shown in the portfolio.Achieving a quite “Chinese” concept of rhythm and blending is my expectation of my design.
